The Central Colorado Humanists participate each year in the “Adopt-A-Highway” program to clean up litter along our adopted section of CO 291, and it’s that time of year once again.

We are responsible for a 2-mile section of the road that begins near the Pridemore bridge towards the northern end of CO 291.

It doesn’t take too long to do this, as long as we have a few volunteers! CDOT provides trash bags and orange vests, all you need to bring are gloves, good shoes, water, and a hat.

This year’s cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, May 28, and to beat the heat let’s plan on starting at 9:00am. The more the merrier! We will meet at the gravel parking area, on the west side of the highway, just north of the bridge. This is the bridge over the Arkansas River on CO 291 between CR 191, and CR 195. See you there on the 21st!
